U-Med is currently considering combining this workgroup with 3R's.
An effective sustainability strategy for any organization is to combine Green Purchasing and 3R's. Conventionally these are two distinctly different organizational systems, and is not easy to change. By integrating the two systems, reducing, reusing and recycling efforts become much more effective, and is known as Zero Waste.
The purpose of the U-Med Green Purchasing Workgroup is to create opportunities for U-Med organizations to benefit from joint learning and joint action.
